About Armare’s sustainability journey
Armare’s sustainability journey started over a decade ago, when we began to develop increasing attention on the optimization of production processes and the recycling and disposal of production waste.
As a manufacturer company, we are aware that our choices are particularly significant in terms of environmental impact. Armare believes that industrial development and production needs can be developed in synergy with the application of good environmental and social practices.
For this reason we analyze all the variables connected to production, evaluating aspects such as circularity, durability, repairability or recyclability of the products and acting accordingly along the entire value chain in search of the best solutions.
Environmental Footprint Calculator
Eco-design product comparison service
The Environmental Footprint Calculator gives you an easy way to evaluate and compare the technical and environmental performance of Armare products.
Using this calculator you’ll get a complete Environmental Footprint of our ropes: it is implemented using the same mathematical model as Armare’s verified EPDs but offers customized insights, specifically for Ecodesign across the full range of rope diameters.
This calcutator provides the environmental performance of 100 metres of rope, making it easier to compare product performance in terms of Ecodesign, rather than including complementary data like packaging.
The Armare team has always been committed to improving the technical performance of its products and today, thanks to its life-cycle approach, it is able to offer innovative products that combine technical improvements with environmental sustainability. This is why the calculator will give different results as time goes on, showing how the environmental footprint of Armare products is improving.
We lead in innovation
We are proud to be the first company worldwide to have developed two EPDs for components for the nautical - marine sector with approved PCR.
This Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), developed in compliance with the International EPD® System certification scheme, refers to a couple of products belonging to the Armare range of ropes:
Dyneforce 78 – Ø 6mm and Star – Ø 10mm.
These EPDs are based on verified Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) data of the products.
They summarises and communicates transparent and comparable information on the environmental impact of the products, referring to each phase of the life cycle, to inform customers and other interested parties in a clear, relevant and reliable way.
