Armare Ropes has manufactured and supplied a new set of main runners and mizzen backstays for the S/Y Piropo, a 56 meter (183.9 feet) Ketch built by Perini Navi in Viareggio shipyards in 2008.
S/Y Piropo
The supply included composite cables (with breaking loads from 25 to 60 tons) with Dyneema® core; all the terminals used for the fittings are made of special high-strength AISI 630 stainless steel and customized to fit the existing equipment. Piropo, which can accommodate up to 12 guests in 5 suites, as well as the large crew, is currently sailing to the Caribbean where it will spend the winter season.
