A story that had already circulated for some time, but now it’s official.
Alberto Bolzan, the 32 year-old Italian sailor from Romans D’Isonzo (Friuli Venezia Giulia), will be at the helm of the VOR Team Alvimedica during the upcoming Volvo Ocean Race, which starts from Alicante on 4 October.
Alberto was reached in Newport by Michele Tognozzi / Fare Vela, right at the end of its first Atlantic crossing test, ten days from Lisbon to Newport, Rhode Island.
We will certainly be able to meet Alberto on his return after the Giraglia, who will play next week at the helm of Esimit Europe. Meanwhile, we can read the great interview at this link.
