Alessandro Di Benedetto climbed up the mast again

“Late in the afternoon, I climbed the mast for my third time, to implement a new circuit for external halyard head. The maneuver took me about three hours, but it went well. I climbed down the mast seeing stars. Tomorrow morning, final checks before sending the code zero sail, which is almost double the solent surface and that will allow me to move a little faster and easier through the Doldrums.

Currently the wind is weak, between six and eight nodes, the ocean is very calm. The boat sails between four and six knots. It is difficult to get reliable predictions in this area. One thing is certain: it will not get better for the next days. My average could fall by about 100 miles per day. Once I’ll past the Doldrums, things should get better.”
