From 30 July to 6 August 2017, the European Optimist Championships in Burgas will be held at the Yacht Club Port Bourgas; Armare Ropes will be the technical sponsor of the event.
Bourgas is the second-largest city on the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast and the fourth-largest in Bulgaria after Sofia, Plovdiv and Varna. It is the capital of Burgas Province and an important industrial, transport, cultural and tourist centre. The Port of Burgas is the largest port in Bulgaria. The bay of Bourgas provides great sailing waters and for sure the weather will test the sailors to give their best, whatever the wind strength and wave conditions. 2017 Optimist European Championship is the third big championship that Yacht Club Port Bourgas organizes.
