Armare Ropes is technical partner of the International Hannibal Classic 2021, one of the most important Italian regattas dedicated to vintage sails, scheduled for Saturday 10th and Sunday 12th September in Monfalcone.

The International Hannibal Classic is a regatta for classic and vintage sailing boats, organized by the Yacht Club Hannibal di Monfalcone and dedicated to the sailor Sergio Sorrentino, the champion of the Dragon class also founder of the Hannibal Marina who died in 2017.
The regatta is the third stage of the AIVE Adriatic Cup, sponsored by the Italian Vele d’Epoca Association, the annual trophy that ends every year in October at the Adriaco Yacht Club in Trieste with the City of Trieste Trophy (2-3 October) and the Barcolana Classic (October 9), where the seasonal winners will be announced. Starting from this year, International Hannibal Classic 2021 will also be part of the newborn “Trofeo dei due guidoni“, in collaboration with the Adriaco Yacht Club, which will take into account the results achieved at the Hannibal Classic and the City of Trieste Trophy.
Wooden or metal yachts built prior to 1950 (Vintage Yachts) and 1976 (Classic Yachts), as well as their replicas, are admitted to the regatta. Separate rankings are foreseen for the Yachts designed by Carlo Sciarrelli, for the “Passere” category and for the “Arpège” grouping.
As last year, due to the ongoing Covid-19 health emergency, the two scheduled regattas will take place on triangle routes without the scheduled stop in Portoroz, Slovenia. The fleet will be hosted at the Marina Hannibal of Monfalcone, main sponsor of the event. The renewed management of the Marina promises an unforgettable edition.
