Armare Ropes for Emirates Team New Zealand

Armare Ropes is once again the Official Supplier of Emirates Team New Zealand for the 37th America’s Cup, having already contributed to their victories in the 2017 and 2021 editions. The ropes developed for this new challenge aim to support the team in defending the most coveted title in the sailing world.

All the running rigging of the monohull foil boats is designed and produced by Armare Ropes, following the strict technical specifications requested by the New Zealand team. This work is the result of years of experience and continuous collaboration between Armare and the Kiwis, ensuring maximum performance and reliability during the races.

During the visit, the Armare team had the pleasure of attending some of the Louis Vuitton Cup regattas, which are now in their decisive phase and will determine the official challenger for the 37th America’s Cup. It was a unique moment to witness the AC75 boats in action live and to better understand the specific rigging needs under extreme race conditions.

The day concluded with an in-depth and exclusive visit to the Emirates Team New Zealand base, where the Armare team had the opportunity to engage directly with the New Zealand riggers who manage the preparation and use of the ropes on board the AC75, as well as the AC40 used for other races. This technical exchange proved invaluable in further refining the proposed solutions and ensuring maximum performance.”

One of the most exciting moments was the meeting with the legendary Grant Dalton, CEO of Emirates Team New Zealand. His passion and dedication are an inspiration for the entire Armare team, who are committed to continuing to support the New Zealand team in this exciting new adventure.

We thank the entire Emirates Team New Zealand staff for their hospitality. Meeting their technical team and exchanging important information about our products will benefit both parties, as confirmed by Nick Burridge from the Emirates Shore Team: “Thank you for visiting us today. It was great to finally meet you in person! As I mentioned, you are a great partner, and we appreciate all your help.”

Armare Ropes is proud to be part of this journey towards the 37th America’s Cup and is once again aiming for victory together with Emirates Team New Zealand. Don’t miss the America’s Cup regattas from October 12 to 20, 2024.
